Yesterday my sweet wife bought me the Barnes & Noble special double edition of American Gods and Anansi Boys. I had finished Coraline the day before and was on fire for another Gaiman novel to read.
First of all, this is a beautiful book. Bonded leather cover, gilt edging, silk bookmark, creamy paper, pleasing typeface — at first glance, you’d never guess this is a mass-produced item.
So I started American Gods last night, and yes, I know I’m late to the party, but this is incredibly good stuff. I know I’ll be stealing time to finish this one.
If you should chance upon a copy at your local B&N, I implore you to lay hands upon it and hasten to checkout, as they seem to cost a bit more online.
Thank you for your time. Continue scrolling….
